502: Jonathan Raymond: Good Authority Breeds Great Leaders
Today’s guest on Join Up Dots free podcast interview is a man who likes nothing better than getting into a company and making it Zoom!!
You see he is a great believer that a company is only as good as its individuals and so make the individuals great and guess what you get?
You got it, an amazing company, a fun place to work, and best of all making healthy profits.
As he says I love people, and I love ideas. But what I love most is helping people take their ideas and make them fly. It’s led me to a 20-year career doing business development in some very different industries. As the CEO of a global coaching business, I led a multi-year transformation of the culture and brand. I co founded a renewable energy company and a non-profit that taught meditation and yoga to at-risk youth. Those roles and my personal journey drove me to launch refound—to share the best of what I’ve learned in a way people can use. “
So what is Refound you maybe asking?
Well this is a great platform that shows all companies how to build the kind of culture that offers people a benefit that far exceeds any paycheck—the opportunity to become better at being themselves.
But of course all our guests do not find their thing straight away, and it seems like our guy has been exactly the same. as he studied at New York University School of Law before entering into several different companies over the next twenty years.
So does he feel that he has found his thing, or is he still working on climbing up the right ladder?
And how does he feel when he enters a company and see room after room of sad, dispirited faces?
Well lets find out as we bring onto the show to start joining up dots with the one and only Jonathan Raymond.
During the show we discussed such weight subjects with Raymond such as:
How when you are going after success its always going to be like a climbing mountain that you never ever manage to get to the top off….but that’s ok.
Why change is so important in life as it keeps things live and vibrant, so we should never fight it, but instead embrace it fully.
Why work life balance is such a strange concept to understand, and why we should all focus on a life that we love even if we are working at the same time.
How the experiences in life are the things that we should set out to gain as much off as possible. By experiencing the good and bad we can be more informed as to what we truly want from our lives.
