Introduction To Self Awareness
A self-aware person is someone who is aware of themselves and their surroundings.
This includes being able to understand why they do certain things, how those things affect them and others around them, as well as recognizing what they can do to change or improve upon those behaviors.
Some people think it’s impossible to be truly self-aware because while you can become more aware of yourself, it can be difficult to remove yourself from your own perspective.
However, on a deep level, self-awareness is knowing who you are and what you believe in order for us to live authentically and successfully in society today!
Self Awareness Is Often Considered The 1st Step To Self Actualization
Self awareness is often considered the first step to self actualization and to success.
Self actualization is a concept in psychology that refers to the process of becoming one’s best self, or true self.
It involves continual growth and development towards a state of being that is fulfilling, effective, healthy and happy.
If you are able to achieve it, it will allow you to live up to your full potential as well as reach your goals in life.
Self-actualization involves finding meaning in our lives through personal growth rather than external rewards such as money or power (Maslow).
The concept was introduced by Abraham Maslow who proposed that there are five stages of growth he called them: basic needs – physical survival needs; social needs – love and belonging with family friends etc.; esteem needs – feeling respected valued by others; achievement need – doing something special; finally self actualisation need which involves reaching out towards higher levels of consciousness through spiritual enlightenment religious beliefs etc.
It is certainly a skill that can be developed through self-reflection and introspection and can also be taught in school, at home and in therapy.

There Are Many Benefits To Becoming Self Aware
There are many benefits to having self awareness for example, when you are aware of your own feelings, you are better able to understand other people and how they feel.
When we understand ourselves better, the world around us becomes more meaningful as well.
We can see where others may be coming from and why things happen as they do.
We can also understand why we act in certain ways and how our actions affect others around us.
The benefits of understanding yourself don’t just stop there though!
Knowing yourself better also allows you to be more relaxed in social situations because you’re not afraid of being judged by someone else or what they think about who you really are on an emotional level (and no matter what anyone says – it’s impossible for them not know this).
This allows people with high levels of self-awareness skills to have better relationships with their friends/family members/colleagues etceteras because their communication skills tend to improve significantly..
There are two types of self awareness cognitive self awareness and emotional self awareness.
There are two types of self awareness cognitive self awareness and emotional self awareness.
Cognitive – is knowing who you are, understanding why other people act in certain ways and understanding why things happen as they do.
Emotional self-awareness means knowing your emotions and why you have them. Some people can have one type without the other but combining these two types leads to a much better understanding of yourself and the world around you.

One thing for sure is its a process that should never end, it’s something we all work on everyday. Becoming aware of yourself will help you improve your relationships with others, manage stress more effectively and help you reach your full potential as an individual!
Conclusion
On a deep level, self awareness is knowing who you are and what you believe.
People can start the process of becoming more self-aware by asking themselves questions like what do i want out of life, who am i and what makes me happy.
The more you can know about what stimulates you and triggers certain behaviours the quicker you will be on the road to self awareness.
