How Do I Monetize A Business?

Welcome to todays episode of Join Up DOts which is a solo show where your host David Ralph answers a series of questions that has been sent to the show by the listeners.

Most of these have either a “How Do I Make Money?” element or “How Do I Start A Business?”

So lets start with the first question…..

Andrew Hedley, Australia

First of all, I just wanted to say how much I am loving the podcast! It helped me exit the corporate career and into this fun and crazy world of start ups. I listen to one podcast every afternoon and it is the perfect inspiration when I start to feel lost and have doubts. Thank you.

Croix Sather: From Ultra Runner To Ultra Successful Entrepreneur

My guest today, on the Steve Jobs inspired Join Up Dots free podcast interview is a man who has been on the show before, but is so inspirng in so many ways its a shock that he hasnt been on again until now.

He is a professional speaker, and record breaking businessman, who focuses in on Business mastery and also has the “come on guys you can do the impossible you just have to start taking action” vibe nailed down too.

John DeWitt: Ex-American Footballer Turning Trauma Into A Career

My guest today, on the Steve Jobs inspired Join Up Dots free podcast interview is an ex- American footballer, who after twelve years as a professional was in an amazing place.

He played for the Houston Oilers, NFL Europe Scottish Claymores, CFL Montreal Alouettes, XFL San Francisco Demons and even the AFL.

The reason he was in an amazing place, was due to the fact, once he retired as a professional he realised that he had gained an amazing insight into professional sports trauma.

He had seen, and experienced the devastating effects of TBI and concussions, and knew that there was a path to transition into away from the game

Authenticity: If You Are Your Authentic Self Then You Have No Competition

On today’s show we talk about what authenticity means in a business, and can you create a business that brings your authentic self to the fore.

Well, this week we had an email sent to us at Join Up Dots by a fellow podcaster, who asked to come on the show and then gave us some big advice.

He told us that he felt that the vibe of our show wasn’t right, and by doing silly stuff, voices and the like we wouldn’t be taken seriously.

Now this is a big statement to make, as why does he think that we want to be taken seriously anyway?

Scott Wintrip

Scott Wintrip: Turning His Passion To Recruitment Into His Life Work

My guest today, on the Steve Jobs inspired Join Up Dots free podcast interview is with a man who was first introduce to me by a previous guest and friend of the show Tayo Rockson

“Hi David”….he said “I had him on my show and he had such great pieces of advice to give. I am certain he would make a great addition to your show.”
Well, how could i refuse such a connection, so lets give you some background on who we are going to be speaking to today.
He is the founder of the Wintrip Consulting Group, a global consultancy in St. Petersburg, Florida where his mission is to eliminate hiring delays, so companies always have the talent they need instead of empty seats.

Tamara Thompson

Tamara Thompson: Creating Magic With Video Creation

My guest today, on the Steve Jobs inspired Join Up Dots free podcast interview is a lady who you just cannot find a photo of her not beaming from ear to ear.

And it’s not a surprise as quite simply to me, it looks like she is having the time of her life.

And unusually for most guests who have come on the show, it appears a pretty straight line to where she is today, but of course that probably isn’t the case.

Back in the day as a young girl, she would run around with a camera and create silly YouTube videos.

After family and friends told her that she should pursue a career in video, she went to the Seattle Art Institute to get her degree in Filmmaking.

Which she did, and then set off working for several video companies before starting her own rocking and rolling at Serious Take Productions.
