Todays guest joining us on the Join Up Dots Steve Jobs inspired free podcast interview is a man who has had an amazing journey through a physical transformation, leading to his own successful business.
As he says ” I was in a bad state. I was morbidly obese, had severe obstructive sleep apnea, high blood pressure, and advanced gum disease.
But instead of it allowing it to be my legacy I did something about it.
So not only did I lose 105 pounds (47kg) and reverse all of those lifestyle related health conditions, I also transformed the dysfunctional relationship I had with food, my lifestyle, and my true self.”
Now this was a journey that has taken over 13 years to occur, a difficult transformation experience that was intensified when he also lost five family members within eighteen months.
Because of the tremendous impact of these losses, he was forced to have major mental, emotional, and spiritual breakthroughs in some the most difficult times of his life, which lead him to writing a book and finding his thing.
And that thing is what you maybe asking?
His mission is to educate people who want to fully experience living a healthy and balanced life by reaching all their wellness goals.
By supporting their health through nutrition and balanced living, he inspires a permanent, transformative shift in the way people eat, think, feel, live and love.
And that my listeners seems to be a very good mission to have?
So was he always on the path to health issues, or was it simply a case of overindulging over a long period of time?
And is the transformation towards a physical change started by making the mental change, or does it not matter?
Well lets find out as we bring onto the show to start joining up dots with the one and only Michael Tamez
During the show we discussed such weighty subjects with Michael Tamez such as:
Why he feels that the dashing of his dreams of becoming a professional baseball player, was the catalyst to all his health issues. He lost his passion and found junk food.
How he found the relationship with food was truly a metaphor of him stuffing his emotions down as far as he could from his heart.
Why he remembers following the footsteps of his father even though he hated very minute of the next fifteen years of doing the job.
How Michael believes that the future of business is firmly found in the land of live video streaming. Building real live connections with the world.
