Thank you so much for having me really excited for this conversation. really grateful to be here and really interested to see where we take this topic today.

Well, I’m going to start off straight straight away by saying I’m a believer, I’m a believer, because literally everything that has become good in my life has become good because I have believed in it. I have been focused, I have been positive. And when things have been crap, I can look back and it’s because my mood, my vibe, and I use that distinctly that word that vibe was low. Is it as simple as that Andrew, Is it as simple as if we can keep our frequency as our vibration as high as possible, then, like a tuning fork, we can attract things into our life. You know,

it’s it’s that simple. And I would argue it’s actually even simpler than that. Because and because the way you describe it, by the way, it’s a perfect reflection of the way things work. In my view, however, I have found that people will often even misinterpret something that’s simple. And then they’re stuck in the belief that they have to be in a good mood all day every day. Otherwise, assuming this thing works, they’re missing their lives up. And it really is it actually simpler. Where if you if you could simply concentrate on even just a few minutes a day of intentionality, of feeling good while thinking about what you have or what you want, or both, you are going to set a vibrational tone within you in that even if the rest of your day is not perfect. Overall, you have a momentum of more positivity, which if you keep leaning in that direction, there will be more of an upward spiral things getting better and better and better. And you kind of said it indirectly, at the beginning of the show here. Think about the most successful people in the world believe this. And then someone on the street that might not be as successful doesn’t Well, if that person believes it, and they’re using it and they’re getting the results. Wouldn’t that make you say, Hmm, let me at least experiment with this and see if this would work for me also,
David Ralph
it blows me away because I’ve had millionaires, I’ve had billionaires, I’ve had really successful folk on the show. And literally all of them write down in a gratitude book every day. They focus in goals, and they’re the most positive, enthusiastic people that I speak to. And if I go down to the local pub, you’re surrounded by people just sitting there moaning and groaning and wonder While life is crap, and I think, Well, number one is because you’re sitting in a pub all day, every day, you know what, what’s going to happen there. And secondly, it is totally your focus, it’s, you know, I bounce out of bed every morning. And when I do have a dip, I can get back out of it quite quickly, because it’s not normally mean it’s just like chemical imbalance and stuff. But it’s, I think it is as simple as that you start your first five minutes in bed, thinking about what you’re going to do and how you’re going to do it, and, and see what occurs, but the rest of the day.

Yeah, and it’s one of those things where I think the difficulty is, you know, we as humans, we like to make things more complicated than they really need to be. And that just sounds way too simple. I’m either gonna say sounds too easy, it sounds way too simple. So people like, it can’t be that simple. But it really can be. And, again, it’s one of those things where you can kind of scream it from the rooftops. And like the whole point of even the the way I present my content, it’s, it’s in hopes that I give someone enough of a crack of an open door, where they tried for them themselves long enough to get their own result in their own life experience. Because once you get something experientially for yourself, that’s when it lands, that’s when nobody can take it away from you. Because until that happens, no matter how many millionaires tell you to do it, no matter how many people like me, come on the show thank you to do it. It’s still just theory. But when you put it into practice, and you get an actual tangible result, that’s when you can really grip onto it. And at least have that affirmation that well there’s something to this, even if I don’t know what it is just yet, there is something to this. And it there’s more getting more into it and see what I can do with it.

Now, I was speaking to a guy called Bob Proctor, who is I’m big on the the law of attraction and changing your paradigm. And one of the things he always says is the law of attraction is the second law. The first law is the law of vibration. And by creating the law of vibration and understanding that Bain, you’re in the position to go for the law of attraction. Now, that’s, again, seems to me missing the point of where the secret was heading. And all those kind of beyond the secret and the secret because they went to the second step before the first step. Do you think?

Yeah, well, so the interesting thing about the secret is, I think it was it was misunderstood, I think when you’re going to blow up the way the secret did, and you’re going to sell all those DVDs and all those books, and you’re going to get attention. A lot of times, it’s going to be rooted in, you know, the message of manifesting money and having a come out of thin air without having to do anything. But there there was deeper message even within the secret itself of, you know, I think it’s something where this an anything’s possible, whether it’s money or love, or just, you know, fulfilment in the moment. And it’s also a combination of yeah, you’re gonna sit on your couch, you’re gonna meditate, but at some point inspired action is going to occur to you. I think the the thing that people forget is we are tangible beings in a three dimensional tangible space, we are meant to take action, we’re not meant to take action out of lack. We’re not meant to, to try to force things. But we are meant to take inspired action, which I think the first time I heard that term was was Abraham Hicks, which was featured on the first version of the secret before a little legal matter got in the way of that. And it all comes down to like, there’s so many different ways by which this can happen. And which leads to the possibility of complicating things. Let’s just make it as simple as feel good, have gratitude while thinking about what you have or what you want, or both. And watch what happens. And from there, you can be more intentional, you can say, alright, well, let me nudge in the direction of more specificity. Like, you know, someone wants to make that $50,000 In the next 30 days. I guess a good question I would ask them is okay. Does that goal feel good to you right now? Or does that feel out of reach, because it feels out of reach right now, tomorrow, when you only have 29 days, and the next day, you only have 28 days, it’s going to be more and more stressful, you’re going to be putting out the vibration of not having it inadvertently. Whereas what can you do, that’s going to feel good as 50,000 in 60 days feel good, whatever it is lean in the direction of whatever level of generality or specificity that lets you keep feeling good, because I remember the end of the secret, the last thing she did for the DVD, she wrote in the sand with a stick feel good. That really was the whole message through all the other stuff, whether people were saying it was overly materialistic or, or whatever else that might be.
David Ralph
Now you would bang on about that about sort of inspired action, you know, because I agree with you totally. But I also think that the majority of people out there can do that, but they don’t know the direction they’re heading. And it’s very easy for us to be saying I’ll do this and do that because in many ways, we’ve gone through the journey and I had years of trying this and trying bat and backing up and going forward and throwing money at isn’t throwing money at that. And I look back on it now and I think to myself if I just decided really intentionally what I wanted, then it would have been easy back I didn’t, I didn’t kind of know what I wanted. And I remember the first time I had a six figure month, it was like me going through the speed barrier, you know, it changed my way of going, laddie, hell, you can actually do this, you know, people can earn this kind of money. But up to Ben, I think I was battering against my own personal beliefs. So the action were kind of forced action instead of inspired action, if that makes sense to you. Oh,

it makes perfect sense. And by the way, that doesn’t mean that you can’t get a result with forced action. It just means, like you said, it’s going to be a much harder more often than not longer journey. And the again, the answer is just sitting us, you know, right, it’s sitting right in front of us kind of in plain sight, where, you know, I’ll give an example. Some people say, Well, okay, what’s my inspired action? What am I supposed to do, that even makes the assumption that there’s only one thing that you can do versus five possible actions that you can take toward whatever goal that you want? I think it’s really important where once people get a little bit of momentum, again, just feeling gratitude for five minutes a day, they’ll start to get little nudges, of of ideas, or little whispers of, okay, this might be something good to do. And for me, when it was first happening, for me, I kind of had this attitude of, I don’t care if I screw things up, because I know I’m along the right path. And by not caring so much, it made certain actions light up even more and become more obvious to me. The one thing I used to hate this, when people said it in the space is you have to learn to let go because like, Okay, that’s great. How do I let go? What does that even mean? And to me, what it means is giving yourself the attitude of, I know I’m on the right path, so long as I intentionally feel gratitude. And with that in mind, I’m choosing to not care how it happens. Or when it happens, or any of that with the understanding that I’m leaving an open ended invitation for the universe, to pleasantly surprise me. And when I do that, I’m basically taking a lot of weight off my shoulders of having to figure it out, I mean, the answers will come. But when you know that they can come from anywhere, even if you don’t believe in the universe, even if you don’t believe in the law of attraction. At the very minimum, you’re giving your subconscious mind, which is a very powerful supercomputer. You’re giving your subconscious mind the agency and the permission to get really creative for you and show you new ways to getting things done.

the way through the challenge is to get still and ask yourself, what is the next right move? not think about, oh, I got all of this. What is the next right move. And then from that space, make the next right move, and the next right move, and not to be overwhelmed by it. Because you know, your life is bigger than that one moment, you know, you’re not defined by what somebody says, is a failure for you. Because failure is just there to point you in a different direction. A directions

waiting for you. So let’s take you back, Andrew, because I’m interested, you went through a rough time. Okay. You lost your girlfriend, you you lost your business. Let’s go before that. And was it your own fault? Or was it you know, using quoted figures of the universe sort of throwing a curveball in your direction? When you look back on it? Do you think to yourself, actually, I kind of lost it because of me. And the way that I was operating my, my vibe wasn’t right.

It, so it was definitely my fault. And here’s the funny thing, here’s where we can all be a walking contradiction. It was so my fault. But if anyone else asked me if their thing is their fault, I would say I don’t know. But it’s your responsibility. Yeah, because that for that part, at least. I mean, for me, um, I, I’m gonna grind through no matter what. But I think just the attitude of responsibly says anyone out there even if you don’t think it’s your fault, it is your responsibility, because no one else is going to do it for you. And, and then I’ll kind of explain what happened, like I learned about the law of attraction in 2004. And it was just one modality of many that I was investigating are kind of looking down those roads, in an attempt to find the answers of what’s gonna make me happy, and what’s gonna make me successful, what’s going to help me get the money, what’s gonna help me get the girl what’s gonna help me get the big house and the big car and all that stuff. And I always viewed the law of attraction as very inconsistent. And I would find out years later that it was me who is inconsistent, because just like you were saying, David, if only I could have told that that younger version of myself, just stick with this stop stopping because that was the thing and this is what I try to address my book. People will learn about the law of attraction or something else and they’ll get really excited. And they’ll start to use the methods or techniques or whatever it might be, and they’ll start to get results. And even in the face of that they will still stop even as Things are getting better, they will still stop. And that’s a real buy, we can we can talk about why that happens. But I stopped, I basically kept stopping. And it got it got to a point where, four years later 2008 rolls around, my relationship is in shambles, because I’m so desperately trying to get my business off the ground, which is a shambles, because I’m so stuck of the focus of having the lack of success without even realising how to get out of it. And it was so bad that like, you know, I finally said, Alright, I give up, I’m dropping my business because I’ve got to save my relationship. It was too little too late, because three days later, she didn’t break up in person. She didn’t even break up over a phone call, she broke up over a text message. And that was after a three year relationship that shows you how bad it was. And I basically had a look in the mirror and say, Well, no one else. So that’s got to be something on me. And I had this very strange moment of simultaneous indignation along with an epiphany, looking back on those past four years saying, Well, whenever I did the Law of Attraction stuff, it started to work until I stopped. And that’s where I had that attitude of like, you know what, I don’t care, I don’t care what happens, I don’t care when it happens. I don’t care why it happens. I don’t care how does. I don’t care about any of that I am going to go all in with this because I’m just angry enough to stick with it. And by the way, David, when I say all in I don’t mean all day every day because as angry as I was, I’d had enough study of myself, and just basic human psychology to know that that was unsustainable. But what I could do was five or 10 minutes every day of simple gratitude methods visualisation methods, because I was that anger to keep myself on board with that. And we’re skipping ahead a little here. But once I made that decision, it was almost like a movie because this incredible shift just occurred. Once I stopped trying to force the timing in the manner in which I got what I wanted. What I wanted kind of came to me, like two weeks later, I felt better, which anyone who’s ever had are heartbroken like Andrew, that’s a ridiculous timeline. I wasn’t perfect, by the way. But I felt so much better than I had any business feeling at that point, only two weeks in. Three months later, I’m in a brand new way better way healthy relationship with someone that really connected with me. And by then I had the maturity level to kind of handle it and be with her at a more intimate level. Four months later, I’m making more money that an endpoint my life, and then six months later, like everything’s different, I’m happy and fulfilled. I’m waking up grateful, I’m in the best shape of my life. And I basically learned the hard way that whatever this thing is, and we’ll call it the law of attraction, but you can call it anything you want. Whatever it is that works when you work it. And it was basically and like I kind of say that I want to cheat for people. Once I had that experience. Nobody can ever take it away from me because it was no longer an intellectual theory. It was something that was actually a part of my being and a part of my life that I can look to in how I’ve lived through it.
David Ralph
All right, my question on that is, what was it about it that attracted you to it? And not all the other stuff? You know, for example, why didn’t you just go, Oh, I’m gonna go down the bar and get drunk birth 30 days, what was it that attracted you to a positive root out instead of the sort of decline into depression because it’s quite cathartic for a period, sitting on the sofa in your dressing gown, not shaving, not opening the curtains, it’s kind of playing the movie depressive role. And I say that because when I got sacked from my job, once, I thought to myself, I’m gonna have three days or three weeks of just sitting in my dressing gown, and my wife wasn’t having it. She’s kicked me booty back out to it. But I felt like playing that kind of that character for a while. So what was it about it that made you go a totally different, more positive route?

You know, it’s interesting, because some of it was acts like I will say some of this, I didn’t have money to go to the bar. And I alienated so many of my friends that they wouldn’t have gone to the bar with me anyway. So there’s there’s that at least as a as a gift. But also, I think it was something where David where I had been grinding so much in that direction for four years, that I was predisposed to leaning in that direction, even with things going down the tube, even with things going wrong for me. I conditioned myself to be leaning in that direction. Because even though I did it very haphazardly, I spent four years trying different manifesting methods. I spent four years trying to meditate in different ways. I spent four years being aware of my thoughts and the way I speak to myself in the way I speak to out loud. So it’s one of those things where I kind of inadvertently conditioned myself to lean in that direction when things went wrong. But also there’s a part of it that’s unexplained because like I said, it was kind of like an epiphany. It was something where I was somehow able to see through the cobwebs and through the heartbreak and through the frustration and through the confusion and through the fear and through the doubt, through the fog of all that I was able to look back on those past four years and recognise kind of almost out of desperation, when were things actually going right. It’s like, Oh, when I was actually doing that stuff, and then I didn’t stop. And you know not to make too much of a long winded answer, but I try to answer Why I did stop, why I would get momentum and then stop myself is, you know, the way I explained it in the book is we’ve got three minds, we’ve got our conscious mind. And we’ve got our subconscious mind, which everyone’s familiar with. And we’ve got what I define as the ego. Because I’m not a therapist, I’m not a psychologist, this is my definition. But the ego as I define it, is that part in your mind, that’s way stronger than the conscious, but nothing compared to the subconscious. It’s that part of your mind that has only one job in this world. And that’s to keep you alive, which is good or bad news, depending on where you are in your life. Because that means whatever your money situation is, right now, for better or worse, or relationship situation or even health situation, your ego is scanning the terrain and saying, Well, my persons alive right now. And I don’t know what might be different. If they get what they want, I can predict their survivability, because there’s at least one person right now listening to this recording, they want to be rich and famous, but for all their ego knows is when they become famous, they’re gonna get a stalker, and that’s a threat to their survival for all their ego noses, when they get rich, they’re gonna have distant family coming out of the woodwork to, to sue them for their home or something else. So your ego loves you. It’s it’s actually trying to protect you. It’s trying to keep you safe in place, not realising it’s keeping you stuck in place. And that’s the part of your mind that knows your fears, knows your uncertainties, knows your doubts. And when you start making progress, that’s the part of you that’s going to whisper in your ear. You know what you’ve done seven straight days of gratitude, you can take a day off, you know what you’ve done great with working out, you can have an off day with that, you know what you’ve done great with all these cold calls, and you’re starting to get business. But you know what, you’ve earned yourself a break. Or you know what, this is an illusion, this isn’t working. You these cold calls are coming in this business that you’re getting in these matches that you’re getting on dating apps, this isn’t real, these these people don’t really like you. It’ll say whatever it needs to say, say to you, because it’s so scared of what will happen to your survivability, when the status quo of your life changes

is interesting to me, because I spend a lot of time watching YouTube videos and TEDx talks and stuff, I have a lot of free time now which is which is great. And I was reading The Power of Now by Eckhart Tolly. And he was very much talking about the egoic mind, just like you were. And it led me on to a guy called Alan Watts, who was into Taoism. And not quite law of attraction, but a lot of it kind of blends in. And one of the things he has is the backwards law, where the more we focus on what we want, the more we actually don’t have. So we want to have a million pounds sitting in the bank. And because we haven’t gotten really empowered, it makes us feel poor. But actually, if you separate that and just live to what you’ve got, at that moment, you’re neither rich or poor, and you’re more likely to make the thing occur in the first place. And I know certainly with myself, the more I’ve strived to make things happen. And there is ambition that you’ve got to work for is not just sitting on a cushion, humming, or you know, you’ve got to actually do stuff. But the more I’ve really gone for something, the further I’ve pushed it away, and I can see that now. And that’s one of the problems that people have, isn’t it because they so want it they want to put in the huge effort, Andrew, but actually, what we need to say is just relax, just relax and do the right things. And and things naturally occur. You can’t make it occur any quicker. And it’s going to happen. Everyone is a 10 year overnight success.

You know, it’s so interesting to hear you say it that way, because you’ve just given your unique version of what I tell people is the biggest mistake that most people make regarding law of attraction because I think there’s a lot of people listening right now where they’ve heard of law of attraction, and they’ve you know, quote, unquote, tried it. And it hasn’t worked. And they’re like, You know what, this is just another fad. It’s a secret it is what it is it’s done, and what they don’t realise. And here’s, I guess, another way of saying what you said, a lot of people will do these manifesting methods is gratitude, the visualisation, they do it to get the result. And what they don’t realise is that’s actually hurting them. People listen like Andrew, why else would I do the method other than to get the result? Isn’t that the whole point? And kind of like what you said, to paraphrase you’d like when you’re doing a method with the intention of getting a result, you were inadvertently focusing on the lack of it, you are screaming to the universe, energetically. And if you don’t believe in the universe, you were swimming to your subconscious mind are very powerful subconscious mind very convincingly, that you don’t have what you want, which is why keeps reaffirming that reality for you. Whereas if you just do the methods for the sake of enjoying the methods and feeling good, then you’re putting out the vibration, the frequency, then you’re putting out the vibration and again, you don’t believe in the universe, that’s fine. Then you’re putting out the right message to your subconscious mind, which is a very powerful supercomputer that will get things done for you. So thank you for giving a wonderful paraphrase of what I believe is the biggest problem and the biggest solution to law of attraction in terms of leveraging the manifesting methods and people’s favour.

Now let us spend The Conversation slightly without getting too deep. This is not hokey stuff. And this is science. This is physics that we’re talking about. And if you get into the world of quantum physics, and I often mentioned quantum physics on the show, because I love it, because I get to a point where I go, Oh, it’s madness. I can’t get past certain points about the clever people have walked past, but in its essence, is we’re all vibrations, we’re all frequencies. And by attracting or vibrating at a certain frequency, we will naturally attract people. And we’re saying in the sense of people, because it’s easier to understand. But if you walk into a room and you’re feeling really good and positive, then somebody in there could be your ideal lady or boyfriend, whatever, will naturally be drawn to you. They like your vibration, they like your frequency. So it is science, isn’t it? This is absolute nailed down science, that by focusing in on the frequencies that we’re operating in, I like it. It’s very

much a science and the thing is it science in a way that people don’t even appreciate? Because you know, quantum physics I’m, I’m probably not the guy to to explain it with with any level of clarity or accuracy.

It doesn’t tell you Well, I want to explain anything without lack of clarity. Oh, I just

we work on that all day. Right? So Well, I would say this. If people go on YouTube, and they research, the double slit experiment, double slit experiment, that basically I’ll give the spoiler of what it really boils down to, it’ll explain it, but it shows a scientific study or scientific experiment, that proves that our focus and our attention literally affects the reality around us. And, you know, just to speak of another way of saying, like, you know, walking into the room and the love of your life might be there. And they’ll only notice you if you have the right vibration. If anyone says, oh, none of this, this is all airy fairy, none of this works. None of this is real. Have you ever turned like felt a weird feeling in your gut and turned around and saw someone looking at you, they were looking at the back of your skull, and yet you can feel it yet you could detect it. We detect so many things on so many subtle levels that we don’t even realise even right now, we’re having this conversation from different parts of the world. And I can you know, intellectualise it, well, I’ve got a wire plugged into my computer into the wall. It’s a really long wire, which is why we can have this conversation, which is a ridiculous argument. But the argument becomes completely moot. If I unplug the computer and we’re solving the talk, what’s going on here is there are frequencies, there are energies, there are vibrations that are in play, that enable us to have this real this in this real time conversation from across the world, that our physical senses are not perceiving. If I were to take a dog whistle right now and blow as hard as I can into the microphone. It would be rude, but it wouldn’t really bother you wouldn’t notice because your ears are not attuned to pick up that frequency your human senses don’t. But if there’s a dog in the room, the dogs gonna freak out. These are perfect examples that are there always vibe. There’s always frequencies, there’s always vibrations, there are energies, there are things outside of our of our perception that are going on. And if only we lean in if when we say all right, well, the double slit experiment says that my focus intention creates things. If only we would listen to those millionaires like oh, all the people with all the money and all the happiness and all the cars. They’re saying that do this. If only we would listen and lean into that we would get such a result. And just because I’m such chatterbox to give one more addition to make this a long winded answer here. Oftentimes for someone that might not be ready for this, the way I explained the law of attraction, is think of something really simple, like lifting weights to get muscles, which is obviously a very oversimplified idea, but everyone gets it, you lift the weight, you get muscles, right? Well, I asked someone, okay, let me give you two explanations as to how that actually works. Explanation number one is you lift weights. And when you go to sleep at night, the muscle fairy comes and wave a magic wand and you wake up poof more muscles, or explanation to when you lift weight, you’re putting so much stress on your body and on your muscles that they’re actually tearing in little areas. And then your body responds by healing itself by filling in those tears, those gaps with more muscle fibre, hence, more muscle. Now, I butchered that second explanation. But I guarantee you most people say, Well, if Andrew had to pick between the two, it’s that second one too, which I would answer. Unless you’re a physical therapist or personal trainer. The answer doesn’t matter. What matters is you lift weights, you get muscles, you put an x you get y and by the same token, if you engage in gratitude or visualisation methods for 30 days and you don’t worry about how or when the results might come. You just do that for the sake of enjoying the moment. Results will come by hook or by crook, and when they do, I would argue don’t give me credit. Don’t give my book credit. Don’t give the universe credit. Don’t get the luggage reaction credit, but at the very least recognise that you did this thing. You put an X, and you got Y out results started happening, which would be a wonderful cue for you to continue in this process and see what continues to happen for you

Put you know what, actually, yeah, I want to amend this don’t credit me Don’t credit the universe. But honest, actually. I mean, it’s now credit, David, because you heard it here. So if this is the place where you heard it that finally gave you that that little nudge to try this? Yes, I know. We’re kidding. But no credit, David, it’s his show that finally gave you that nudge to do this. And you will, if you do this, a month from now, six months from now, a year from now, you will be thanking him that you will be you will be stalking him and trying to find his physical address that you could send them flowers and chocolates and anything else to show your gratitude. Because this is a game changer for real.

What would be a test, we throw it out to the listeners that they can do something simple that they can start doing okay, it’s not going to give them a billion dollars in the bank is not going to give them Lamborghinis. But it’s going to give them something. Now what I would do my test, and I don’t know if you agree with this, Andrew, is simply decide that it’s going to be a really lovely day. And no matter what crap comes your way. It’s still a lovely day, and I guarantee you will get home. And it hasn’t been a bad day. simple, as simple as that. Instead of going, Oh, it’s gonna be terrible today on Mondays. I hate Mondays. And your intention is crap, crap, crap. Just go. No, Monday’s is brilliant. It’s like, it’s like New Year’s Eve every week. It’s the start of the week. Everything’s brilliant. Yeah. And then see the difference when you get home?

Yeah, I think that’s a wonderful idea. And I don’t disagree with it. I actually agree with that wholeheartedly. But I’d also say this, one of one of the ways I like to make this accessible to people, is to give them options, meaning, if that resonates and that lights up, and I’ll tell you that lights me up, that’s awesome, do that. And alternative just is one other thing to try is something I call in my book, I call it a gratitude Blitz. And basically, all you’re going to do is you’re going to set a timer, and you’re going to think of things that you’re grateful for. And the whole point again, isn’t a force, a manifestation or result out of thin air. It’s to actually feel good about your life. And if you’re saying, Well, you know what, life is pretty tough right now the state of the world, isn’t that what sort of be grateful for? Well, there is. And by the way, you can do a theme on your body, you could do a theme on your job, you could do theme on everything in the room, but just do do a free for all, what you have to be grateful for it Well, for me, I’m grateful for my heart, which has been beating in my chest every second of every minute of every hour of every day of every week of every month of every year of every decade that I’ve been alive, tirelessly, sending nutrients, sending energy to the rest of my body, the rest of my organs that have been serving me well. I’m grateful for the device and badness conversation on and anyone listening to have gratitude for the device that you’re listening to on this device that you use for email for communication, this advice where you have access to YouTube and Google where you can research how to write a book, where you can research how to get a patent on an invention that you have, where you can research how to start a business, where you can research how to communicate better with women or men so you can find love, where you can download a dating app where you can meet people where you can order pizza, where you can do all these different things. Be grateful for your limbs, be grateful for your feet, your hands, your fingers, your toes, your legs, your arms, be grateful for your resources within your mind, with bricks, weak, weaker for your resourcefulness, be grateful for every idea that goes across your mind, that might be some great idea that can improve your life, whether or not you act on it, because that’s the universe spoon feeding you more and more potential more and more abundance. Again, that’s how easy it is to do. So do David’s way, do this one suggested way or you know, do a whole bunch of different ways. Give yourself a week to try different experiments and just see what happens. And remember, the win is not in the manifestation, although it kind of is. But the winner is feeling good in the moment because whether you believe in the law of attraction, not scientific studies have shown that gratitude will increase confidence. It will reduce anxiety, it will improve sleep, it will create a more resilient mindset. You get a wind just in the moment where you’re feeling gratitude for whatever you have in your life or whatever you want to anticipate is on the way it really is that simple.

Jack Canfield was on the show. And I always remember this every day. Now he’s a millionaire and is very, very successful. And he’s written many books. He was in the secret and stuff as we’re talking. And he says every day he walks around his house saying I’m grateful for that cheese in the fridge. I’m grateful for that. margerine I’m grateful for that picture sitting on the wall. And about three years ago I created numerous groups around the world. There was one in America, one in Australia, and it was the Join Up Dots gratitude groups and I felt that if people were waking up every morning and coming onto Facebook and posting what they’re grateful for, when it would start kick starting what we’re talking about here, and it will be a sort of a groundswell. And I found that people ran out of ideas, because they thought their gratitude had to be big. But it wasn’t about the little things. It was about, you know, great stuff. So they start on the first day, that was brilliant. And the second day, and by about the fourth day, they didn’t have a fifth day, you know, and he just dwindled away, where he was saying, you know, stuff that when he said it, I kind of thought where they really do walk around every single day doing it. But I bet he does. I bet he does now.

Yeah. And, you know, it’s funny that I didn’t know that he did that specifically, although I would not be surprised if I’d heard at some point and just filed it away. I, I say it’s like my I have a method, a daily method, it’s kind of similar in that I pull out my phone every single day without fail. And I pull out the recorder app. And I record a message of all the things I’m grateful for. And I say everything in the present tense, and some of the stuff is happening, and some of the stuff is on the way. And I send that message to my friend across the country and he does the same thing for me. And January 8, we’ll begin our fifth consecutive year of doing this never have missed a day, which means we and we’ve seen incredible things in our each other’s lives. As we’ve reported more and more good news. He’s seen me launch my book, he’s seen me sell 85,000 copies of it. He’s seen all the five star reviews he’s seen like me finally, like really be happy, fulfilled in a business. And I’ve been happy fulfilled in businesses before. But this is a whole new level. I’ve seen him connect with his kids in a brand new way. I’ve seen him connect with his job and his boss and his career and a brand new level, we’ve seen these things. And all I do is pull out a phone every single day and see what I’m grateful for for a few minutes, or sometimes 30 seconds, or sometimes 90 seconds, or sometimes 10 minutes, whatever I feel like with no limitations and no restrictions and send it off. So it’s very cool to hear Jack Canfield doing that, and know that I’m doing something similar.

We also had a guy called Joe for towel, or book Joe fatale on the show, Dr. Joe fatale. And he was telling us a story about being homeless in America laying on the steps of a library in Dallas or somewhere. And he had nothing else to do. So he used to go into the library just to sort of past time. And he could have gone to like the thrillers, the John Gresham’s and stuff and start reading things. But he started reading sort of self help books. And he said, it was as simple as surrounding himself with other people’s positivity, but tricked him into behaving that way. Now, he’s a multi millionaire. And he’s, you know, he’s got great stuff going on. And that’s one of the issues again, but I think people try to do this on their own, where actually, they need to find groups, they need to find support, they need to find anything, even if it’s a virtual resource that surrounds them somehow, so that it’s, it’s not them, you know, working out at home, it’s almost impossible. That’s why people pay to go to the gym, because I know that there’s going to be other people that push them in that direction.

Yeah, you know, what you’re speaking of here is it’s it’s basically strategically leveraging our understanding of our psychology and our in our nature, we don’t do things as well in isolation, that doesn’t mean we can’t do it. But it does mean that if you can find someone to do this with if you can find a community to leverage, like me, I’ve got so much on my plate with everything that I’m not going to do this, but maybe someone else wants to start a Facebook group, or the whole point of the Facebook group, assuming this does not exist already, is you post at least one thing that you’re grateful for. And since everyone’s doing it, you go through the feed and all you’re surrounding yourself with positivity, which by the way, is a nice little hack, because Facebook, Facebook’s algorithm is going to notice that you’re engaging with positive things, and it’s gonna fill your regular feed with positivity. And then all of a sudden, you’re gonna be filling your subconscious mind, which has an effect your vibration, which can affect your results. It’s all one big thing. And it can begin with engaging in a community or cooperative effort with one or more people as a commitment to do something very simple, like just being grateful for something every single day.

it was impossible to connect the dots looking forward when I was in college. But it was very, very clear looking backwards 10 years later. Again, you can’t connect the dots looking forward, you can only connect them looking backwards. So you have to trust that the dots will somehow connect in your future. You have to trust in something, your gut, destiny, life, karma, whatever. Because believing that the dots will connect down the road will give you the confidence to follow your heart, even when it leads you off the well worn path. And that will make all the difference.

Now tying those words into this conversation that the bottom line is belief. You know, if you believe that something’s going to happen, you’re you’re being dragged it’s a tractor beam. I’m a member when I started Join Up Dots. I believed 100% that it was going to be a life changing enterprise for me. And it’s happened. Now, yes, there’s been hours and hours and hours of work, there’s been ups and downs. But I had that total belief, and I still have that total belief every day. And that’s one of the things as well that you’ve got to have to make things occur. That bleep, don’t you? You’ve got to be able to go. Okay, I haven’t seen it. But I’m gonna go again.

Absolutely. And here, David is a challenge. The challenge is, it’s a cliche now to say that, but the whole thing about cliches that people don’t remember, they don’t realise is I mean, they’re said so often because they’re true. But because they’re said, so often, if someone hears that in a state where they don’t have what they want, yet, they very easily discount it. But if only they would understand that the dots do connect, if they they only understood and if they kind of lean forward in trust, or faith or whatever word you want to use. Things happen, amazing things can happen. And it’s one of those things where, for me, it’s almost frustrating because I no matter what I say, and I like to think that I stayed pretty well, you know, in my YouTube content, my book, but no matter what I say, nothing will ever take the place of the experience of receiving this in someone’s own life for them for themselves. To which all we can say is trust us trust David trustingly. Look how massive an enterprise, his podcast is not only in his life, but in your life. If you’re listening to this right now, think of the impact he’s making on the world. Think of the impact that I’m doing my part to make the world in my own way. There’s nothing stopping you everyone listening as long as you just lean in, be it see right now the thing is, everyone’s being stubborn. They’re stubbornly sticking to their doubt, and negativity, I’d say, leverage your stubborn nature and be stubborn in terms of you know what, I’m going to pick at least one thing to be grateful for every day, I’m going to be stubborn in that way. I’m going to stubbornly lean in this direction, just to see what happens, if nothing else to spite that version of me who refused to do it in the past, and serve that version of me in the future, who will really thank me for it later. And thank every other version for me along the way. That’s kind of gotten me to this point.

Now, before we send you back in time, on the Sermon on the mic, I want to ask a question that I’m, I’m fascinated with. And it’s that moment when you have an idea, and then you think it’s not going to work. The last law of attraction book you’re ever need to read is a very bold title. And there must have been times when you fall on what can I bring a different, you know, everybody’s read these books, what can I bring? Did you ever sort of deviate and think now I’m not going to do it and somebody kicked you along? Or did you just have 100% Focus.

So if any doubt had occurred, it was at the point of just considering to write a book in law about law of attraction to begin with, because it isn’t like hundreds of books, there’s like 1000 Law of Attraction books, and why write something if you’re not going to add something new. And basically, at some point, David kind of clicked where I, I challenged myself and simultaneously gave myself permission to like, you know, what, I, because I’ve been through the grind on this. And because I’ve made so many mistakes, but also because I’ve been able to be able to articulate within myself, what these mistakes are, I can do this. And basically, as soon as I made that decision, there was no going back and the book cover, I designed the book cover myself very early in the process. And what I would do every single day before writing a chapter is I’d pull that that cover up on my computer, and I would meditate and focus on it, I would say I would reaffirm this is not just any other book, this is this is different. This is something this is really the last one to read, it’s it’s not just a promise I’m going to make to them, which by the way, I better keep that promise if I want my reviews to be good. But this is a challenge that I have to kind of give to myself. So I meditate on that every single day. The way I would think a lot of people might meditate on a vision board or something else. And from that moment on, there was no doubt there was no hesitation. I’ll leave it to every reader to decide whether it fits the bill. I’ve fortunate that I’ve gotten really good feedback on it really Ray feedback, but I leave it to them. But for me in my heart, there was never any doubt and I just leaned in every single day.

Brilliant, brilliant. That’s what you need. You just need to go it’s going to happen is going to happen. And you know set in a different way. Everything that you’ve got, you’ve made you know everything out there but people have got they buy the house they want they get the car, they get the girlfriend, they get the job. It’s all little decisions that you make and the some of them pan out and some of them don’t. But then the things that you really want, then that’s the hard thing. That’s because you kind of almost think to yourself is going to be right at the beginning, it’s got to be the perfect path if I’m going to do this, and it doesn’t, because life’s not like that. And that’s what the mantra of Join Up Dots is all about is you start moving forward. And if you start moving forward in a positive way, positive things will happen to you. And I might be different from what you expected. But being beings will change for the better, I promise you anything you want in life, you can have it. And I’m not just saying that, because you know, is a podcast, and I need to be like that. I totally believe that. But you’ve got to make the decision to start making it happen. Do you agree, Andrew,

I agree wholeheartedly, and you know, I hear it in your voice, I hear the certainty in your voice. And it really is that way. And I think, you know, people, what I would say to people is some things they might feel like they’re they’re too far, it’ll take too long, it’ll take too much. But ironically, when you stop worrying about that, and just starting leaning into a better life, and start understanding that things can happen, because you’ve seen them happen in so many other people, and they are no better or worse than you. Ironically, when you let go of trying to force it, trying to speed it up trying to make it perfect. That’s when it’ll speed up for you. That’s when like, for me, I, I want to sell a million copies of my book. But I’m not worried about it. I’m not worried about the timeline. And I’ll tell you this, if I was worried about the timeline, I would not have been, I’m on the cusp and a couple months of selling 100,000 I would not be there. If I was stressing everyday about a million. I know it’s on the way there. But whatever it’ll come when it comes in the meantime, I’m very content to serve what I wear, I can, I’m very content with every single person that buys like, you know, I look at every number that a sale comes in. And I don’t say that’s a number that’s I say that’s a human being that decided to choose to invest their time and their energy and their money in my message in hopes it’s going to help them. And that’s a very significant thing. By that same token, every penny or every dollar that you earn, every match that you get on a dating app, every smile that you get from across the room, every idea that you get for a business, all these things, they’re all significant, whether you act on them or not. And when you appreciate them, they will come in more like flood gates, that’s the trick, you appreciate you celebrate the things that that you do have, whether it’s a lot or too little, and you speed everything up and you you build everything up. And it’s it becomes this, this massive momentum, this massive wave that you couldn’t even stop if you wanted to want to kind of sit back and let it happen for yourself with trust with belief, and with the commitment to keep leaning into it and keep engaging with it. And keep embracing and receiving it.

Yeah, I agree with that. And I will share my intention I used to earn years ago, 30 grand a year. And I thought that was a really good salary. 30 grand, you know, like, That’s brilliant, I now have an intention that I’m working towards of a quarter of a million per month, you know, and the difference is, I now totally, totally believe that is doable. I know how it’s doable. It’s about providing more and more value to the right people and making it happen. And it’s it’s it’s as simple as that. But there is a journey from that 30 grand to where I am now. That was wobbly. And it was this the sonic boom time I had to sort of force through until that belief fostered. And the more belief the more positivity, the more positivity, the more value. And as I always say, the universe out there is waiting for you guys to give your gift back to them. You know, whatever you’ve got in your heart, you it’s your job to find out what it is to give it to to other people. And that’s where success comes.

I love that if I’m you know, I’ll speak for Dave and you’ll let me know if I’m inaccurate here. But I would imagine that you being at the point where that feels real. As you get closer and closer. Money is just easier because you don’t go from 30 to 50. Overnight 30 turns to 50 3050 turns to 8080 30 through 120. As it gets more well then all sudden bills become more manageable. Think there’s less stress or concern over money. It’s a natural progression where as as we enjoy the ride on the way to what we want and what we know we can have. It actually gets easier because we’re enjoying the ride, because it’s getting easier because we’re enjoying the ride because it’s kind of like a cyclical thing where they’re feeding each other.

So, this message goes out to a 22 or 23 year old version of myself, and I just want to say, Andrew, I, I’ve seen how things play out. And I’ve got a hunch that you’re gonna have to go through some really rough spots here. You’re gonna have, you’re heartbroken, you’re going to have your business destroyed, you’re going to have everything go up in smoke. Now, if you’d like I’ve got a secret to help you avoid all that. And the secret is, when you learn about the law of attraction, and you learn about gratitude, lean in and never let go. If you disregard this advice, don’t say I didn’t warn you. Because the good news is you’re going to be fine either way. But if you want to save yourself the heartache, if you want to save yourself the hardship, if you want to save yourself the turmoil, just do this, because it’s so simple. It’s so easy to be grateful for five minutes a day, visualise what you want for five minutes a day. And when things start to get better. Don’t stop doing it. Don’t take your foot off the gas. If you do, don’t say I didn’t warn you, you’ll be fine either way. But you can. You can transcend all that. And who knows where you’ll be when you’re in your 40s. But that’s all I got to say you can listen or not. You’re pretty stubborn. So you probably won’t. But I’m going to give you the benefit of doubt and tell you this. Had that it let’s see what you got.
