Introducing The Chilean Architect
Todays podcast episode is built around an amazing email that we received from a listener in the UK.
The guy is called David Campos, and originally from Chile he now resides in the UK with his lovely wife from France.
As you will hear in today’s show David has found himself a little bit lost as he struggled to transition the skills that he had in his hometown to something that will provide him with a living in the UK.
This shouldn’t be a problem, as he simply needs to connect with the right people who need him more than ever.
And that is what we are going to show the simple starting steps that he needs to take to bring the rewards into his life.
Lets take a look at his message
A Message From The Chilean Architect
Message: Hi David how are you?
I am David (same name as you) and I have been listening and following your podcast for a while, especially since I move to England in May the last year.
I am from Chile and with my wife (she is from France) we decided to move here looking for a new life and a new experience, nevertheless, the main reason is to live closer to her family (we lived in Chile the last 5 years and we have a lovely and amazing love history that perhaps I will tell you about it later).
Well, let me say thank you for your great job because it has helped me in two main ways, first, to improve my listening English skills and second, to encourage myself with these amazing histories about dreams, hustle and successful.
I had a small business in Chile (I am an Architect so I use to design and built offices, house extensions, etc.) so I already know what does it means to start up a business, struggle day after day, win money and lost money, be proud about your own creations and to live through the ups and downs that every business has.
The Reason For Writing To Us
Well, I write you because despite your podcast it helps me as I said you, all this time here in the UK it had been so hard for me, I had maybe an idealistic idea about England and I thought that I could repeat and apply in some way my entrepreneur spirit here, but I do not know why now I feel insecure, afraid, pessimist and clearly near to depress. I want to get again that energy and strength that I had in some moments and to build a good life here. Maybe it is because I close to get 40 years old and the life it has not been as I would have wanted, but I still believe that maybe there is a chance.
Well, I do not have any specific question, maybe just some encourage words and some advice it would be enough, and as you said in one of the last podcasts that we could write you, so I thought, why not do it?
Thanks again and best regards.
